A light blush appeared as he looked a bit shocked at the kiss. He’d known Tiana long enough to know how quick to anger she could be. He sometimes forgot, however, how quick she was to forgive. He kissed her back gratefully.Naveen ventured to reach an arm around his wife and pulled her into a hug, biting his lip and sighing. “I’m sorry too,” he murmured.“Absolutely,” he assured her softy. “Once you came along…things made a lot more sense. I love you, Tiana, and I promise that I left that playboy stuff back in Maldonia.”“I…I didn’t understand why myself,” he sighed, seeing foregiveness in her eyes. “It felt great at first, but I’d wake up and live completely disgusted with what I did, so I kept right on doing it, trying to convince myself it was okay.” he sighed deeply. “But it wasn’t, and none if it meant anything until I met you..”
She wiped away her tears. “Really?” she finally managed to squeak.
She looked into his eyes and, finding nothing but love, leaned in closer. “I love you too, Naveen.” she tucked a loose curl behind her ear. “I’m sorry about all those horrible things I said earlier. I didn’t mean it.” she shivered a little. It was cold. “let’s go back inside and sample that cake you made.” she gave a light smile.
She hugged him tight and buried her head in his neck. He was warm, and smelled like the vanilla from the cake. Releasing the hold a little, but still in his arms, she stood on her tip toes and kissed him lightly on the mouth.
